Oven Roasted Asparagus
THE easiest side dish EVER: Oven Roasted Asparagus
Of course, at homecookedfeast.com and IG @homecookfeast, we don’t really believe in making small meals, but what does a bunch of side dishes together make? A feast! Any time you’re looking for one of the easiest side dishes ever, give these oven roasted asparagus a try!
Stop being boring and spruce up your meal: 20 minutes and 5 ingredients is all you need.
This oven roasted asparagus requires only 4 things: olive oil, salt and pepper and an optional squeeze of lemon.
Pair this with:
- Roasted potatoes
- Saffron Rice
- White Rice
- Quinoa
- Corn on the cob
- …whatever you have… and, of course, your favorite protein.
Oven Roasted Asparagus
Ingredients
- 1 handful Asparagus hard ends removed
- 1 tbsp olive oil (ish)
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- ½ lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F/205°C
- Lay asparagus flat on baking sheet or similar pan. Drizzle oil and salt and pepper. Optionally, squeeze half lemon juice. Place tray in the oven.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until desired done-ness is achieved.
- Let sit 2 minutes, transfer to serving dish and enjoy!
Notes
Modify it!
- Heavy lemon and/or aioli drizzle
- Asian-style – use sesame oil instead of olive oil, garnish with sesame seeds
- Shave some lemon zest before baking
- Or, try it as part of a true Tapas Feast!
